The last essence transmission I published contained short descriptions for essences collected via my vortex method: cerebrospinal fluid and vetiver.
Today I’d like to share more about vetiver. This most nourishing and healing plant has been communicating the power and potential of its medicine for my clients through my dreams, and I’d like to share it with you, too.
Here is the Essence Transmission I shared recently:
Vetiver essence adds a grounding element to any essence formula. On its own it can introduce you to its stability, letting your body system learn its wise pattern of continuous deep rooting that allows sturdy upward and outward growth. It brings a reliable stabilization with deeply penetrating nourishment to the nervous system. Great for frayed, thin, or overextended nerves, vetiver helps us to rest, restore and sleep by offering patterning that allows mind and body to find their calm.
And this morning on instagram, I wrote:
Deeply Nourishing
Truly Stabilizing
Integrative & Incorporative
Grounding & Earthy
Feeding Your Roots
When we have dissociated for any reason (pain, shock, trauma, fear, ecstasy) we need to reintegrate into the wholeness of our body and being, with a focus on rooting, grounding, and landing in our bodies here and now.
Vetiver brings that medicine gently but without falter or waver. A strong presence of stabilization, giving up supple, supportive ground to land on.
Even just thinking of vetiver, my whole body finds ground and relaxes. I don’t have to explain that living in our world today is not of a design that supports or promotes nervous system nourishment, stability with ease, or integration.
We’re overstimulated: Our attention is called to move in many directions at once, which is like a splintering for the wholeness of our field.
Many of us have lost our stable center: For many of us, home was not or is not a place that truly nourishes, a place in which we could truly rest and reintegrate, be loved and accepted, taught with care and grace. Our home creates an imprint in us of what we can return to. If we haven’t worked hard to create that stable center, it may not just naturally exist. (It may, if we’re lucky!)
We’ve endured trauma and dissociated: Whether you’ve had big traumatic events, small traumatic events, or have just lived through or observed (in life or close up on your phone screen): financial collapse, home collapse, society collapse, genocides across the globe, senseless taking of lives, political division that invades friend and family circles… you’ve had to dissociate from your body here and there, I’d bet.
Remember, dissociation is a protective mechanism, a healthy thing to do at times. But after a dissociation of any kind, we want to make sure that we energetically return fully to our bodies to process and integrate what we caused us to dissociate in the first place. Sometimes we can do this right away, and sometimes it will take time before we’re ready.
Vetiver is medicine for all of these aspects of modern life.
When we’ve been overstimulated and need to re-center: vetiver.
When we need to come home to our bodies and remember the wholeness of who we are: vetiver.
When we need to gently but truly reintegrate in our bodies: vetiver.
When we need to encourage living steadily and stably in our bodies and get out of the habit of dissociation: vetiver.
When we are attempting to heal a broken heart: vetiver.
When we need to remember how to love our bodies fully and truly: vetiver.
When we need to nourish that body we call home: vetiver.
When we want to feel more comfy in our external home: vetiver.
When we want to sleep more soundly and restoratively: vetiver.
When we want to soothe our frayed nerves: vetiver.
When we want to incorporate lessons learned: vetiver.
When we want to restore balance to our neuroendocrine system: vetiver.
When we want to give the ground that allows us to safely rise, grow, expand, evolve, ascend: vetiver.
For more than a decade, the focus of my energy healing work has been the balance of grounding and growing, grounding and transcending, grounding and rising up into the next most alive and aligned version of ourselves. Vetiver is such a stead ally in that work.
Mentioned in Vedic texts, in Caribbean legend, and (from my channeled memories) used in the Lineage of the Rose (Yeshua, Magdalenes, Isis) in the process of cellular regeneration, vetiver has long been a powerful and sacred plant, used with honor, respect and reverence. Called the “oil of tranquility” and “restorative stabilizer” — its medicine has been as steady and consistent as the stream of grounding it brings.
I’d like to offer a live transmission class in which you can experience the earthy magic of vetiver for yourself in a lovingly held group container. I will determine date and time based on the availability and time zones of interested participants, so if that’s you, please let me know. :)
